A beautiful vintage Sheaffer's Valiant TM (thin model) Touchdown fountain pen and pencil in the original box. Both pen and pencil are black with polished stainless steel caps and gold cap bands. The fountain pen measures 5 1/4 inches capped and has a good imprint. The touchdown filler has been restored. The 14K gold two tone nib is a smooth medium. The pencil measures 4 13/16 inches and has a good imprint. The lead extends and retracts properly. The lead appears to be 0.9mm and the eraser is in good condition. What a lovely set in the original box!
