A beautiful vintage Parker Challenger fountain pen and pencil in the original box! The color (green marbleized pattern) of both pieces is very good and the box is in good condition. The pen measures 5 1/8 capped and has a nice imprint. This is a button filler and a new sac has been installed. The 14K gold nib is a smooth writer, between fine and medium. The ink view window is clear and looks a bit odd (see the close up photo), however, this does not affect the performance of the pen in any way. It fills and writes beautifully. The pencil measures 4 11/16 inches and the lead does extend when the mechanism is turned. It appears to be 1.1mm lead. A beautiful set in the original box!
